Looking for a suite in Whitehorse...

Hey folks in Whitehorse!!

I am trying to plan out where I am going to stay when I head in to pop out baby Skeletor. The government will pay us $75 a day during our time in there. Not much at all. I am trying to find a kid friendly place to stay for anywhere between 2-4 weeks depending on the arrival of Skeletor.

The dates would be approximately March 30th to April 17th.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Thanks!

What are you going to do with Hunter? And how is it that the government pays you? Is it because you don't have a hospital there?

What about the Victoria Faulkner Centre? They have a suite just for out-of-town and expecting families.

Thanks Gen! I will look into that. No one had told us about that.

Tina: no clue yet about Hunter. We know a few people in WH so we are hoping they will help us out a bit. And yep, since we can't have kids in Faro we get a bit paid for. It was much better when we were in Nunavut. They paid for 25 days of hotels, meals and incidentals plus travel!!

Ah yes, and to get the Nunavut GN employee medical perks one must also put up with what you left!!!

Like Gen said the Victoria Faulkner Centre is great! I was to stay there but they didn't have wheelchair accessablilty! It's FREE & very clean! you should call right away though...it's first come first serve (double check to see if young children are allowed to stay there tough...something tells me NOT!)
I DO know that it is set up to accespt two expecting Mums at any given time!

The Westmark (whitehorse) is also great! I would have stayed there if I wasn't flown out!
